Leveler® Bantam™ series earns UL 1449 3rd edition listing from MET Labs®.
For 2009, Leveler has submitted all new Bantam models to MET Labs – a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory – headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland for certification to the latest UL 1449 Surge Protection Device safety standard and has achieved a listing to this new standard for use in the U.S and Canada.
What this means for our customers is that Leveler continues to lead the industry with products that are safe and designed well to meet the requirements of Surge Protection Devices.
The Bantam series has always been a leader in more than surge suppression. To truly protect electronics from electrical harm, the term surge suppression does not adequately define what it is that the Bantam does. The Bantam “pushes back” on the incoming surge or noise signal, diminishing its strength instantly. This is different than either suppressing or diverting a surge. The remainder of the energy is converted to magnetics and stored or dissipated, without any interruption of normal current flow to the loads. All of this is done faster than the blink of an eye. Further, only Leveler’s Bantam patented circuitry can protect all of the wired paths – Line, Neutral and Ground – from this harmful energy.
The models now listed include all varieties of the Bantam 300 and 400, including the new Bantam 400GFC model# PP4004A Ground Fault Circuit-Compatible conditioner
with 4 outlets and an external ground reference terminal. This terminal allows for connection of the Bantam’s filtered ground to other ground points in your system. The Bantam 400 model PP4004A works great inside kiosks and ATM’s.
Another new Bantam, The Bantam MAX features a full 15 amps of available input power with two sets of filtration capabilities. Two outlets feature 3 amps of triple-line filtration for the most sensitive but lowest current-draw electronics such as a CPU or precision measuring device. Two more outlets feature 12 amps of surge suppressed and ground-filtered power for high-current peripheral loads such as laser printers, UPS, coin changers, etc. Click here for more information on the Bantam MAX.
